  • Spring and Hopes

Got some ambitious plans for this spring. Two very important, key events of my life are coming during next couple months. No, we’re not getting ready to deliver a baby – it’s too early LOL. Keep your fingers crossed and follow up the blog so you will not miss these big announcements. It’s gonna be much fun for all of you, I promise. Yet, here are some good pictures of Moscow I’ve shot on February, 25th. It was a wonderful Saturday, full of spring feeling and sun. (more…)

  • Two Russian Capitals – Two Opposite Ways of Development

There are two main cities in Russia – each is the opposite to another. You may feel this difference in each and every element. Moscow is for money – St.Petersburg is for soul. There is a constant carnival, never ending fest in Moscow. Meanwhile, St.Petersburg is calm and sophisticated as an old aristocrat. This difference applies even to the urban development. Moscow made a great leap towards better city environment and people friendliness during last years. It becomes more and more comfortable megalopolis to live in – despite of the crazy population (officially it’s 12.3 mln inhabitants and 15.5 mln including suburbans, indeed – even larger). Unfortunately, St.Petersburg is not that successful. With its 5.3 mln population St.Pete is downgrading. Old, adorable buildings refurbished for the City’s 300 Years Anniversary in 2003 are getting worse and now their facades are in pretty bad conditions. Something similar to what you see in Lisbon or Porto. City authorities do nothing to change the situation – they just play stupid political games (as assigning to the new bridge at suburbans the name of former Chechen leader Akhmad Kadyrov who used to kill Russian soldiers during Chechen war in 1990x, opening memorial plaque to Mannergeim – Finnish Gen., participated in St. Petersburg siege during WWII on the Nazi side…) and don’t care about fading historical center. • Krasnodar – Southern Russian City You Should Definitely Visit

In some meaning, Krasnodar is an example of how I would like to see Russia in the closest future. It’s just an amazing city! With clean streets and smart infrastructure, beautiful, a lot of greenery, the main street looks like you’re in the park. There is a rich choice of well-designed cafe and restaurants with high quality food and drinks, also there are many places to spend time outdoor (southern nature and climate can afford it easily). I guess, you could find everything you want in Krasnodar. Well, most of everything. Even Starbucks and Uber are presented in the town 🙂 (more…)

  • Not a Render: Really Existing Business Centre in Moscow

Well, not a lot of people who have never been in Moscow can imagine that it stores brilliant examples of the modern architecture. Recently, in 2015 the first tenants had occupied the Dominion Tower designed by a well-known british iraqian architect Zaha Hadid. Zaha is famous worldwide for her incredible buildings that look like spaceship and admire those who watch. One of the most impressive projects of Zaha are: Heidar Aliev Centre in Baku, Azerbajan, CMA CGM Tower in Marsel, France, National Museum of XXI Century Arts (MAXXI) in Rome, Italy and many other. • The First Post: Time to Start the New Project

    Dear friends,

Today I am pleased to announce you my new blog concentrated especially on my non-Russian-speaking friends worldwide who are already annoyed a lot by too much Russian links at my social networks. The other reason to launch this project is to preserve my connections with EU and American colleagues from Ford – since I’m going to leave the company so soon. Finally, my personal aim of supporting it is to improve the language skills. I am not so fluent in English yet, but there is a strong wish to achieve absolute proficiency. The public posts, I guess, may help me with that. (more…)
